Forza Motorsport 5 Review

Forza Motorsport 5 is the latest installment in the Forza Motorsport series by Take 10 and Microsoft Studios. After playing this game, I have to say it is probably the best racing game I have ever played. The game is really as close to the real thing as it gets.

The developers of the game enlisted Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May from the British car show “Top Gear” to do the audio commentary and give the game a realistic vibe.

The game features over 200 cars, which include some very iconic cars like the Aston Martin DB5, to newer race cars like the McLaren P1. The level of attention that is paid to every little thing in these cars is amazing. Even if you aren’t into cars, you will appreciate the beauty of these machines.

The game play is also incredibly realistic, you can feel it when your tires are starting to slip, and your driving is affected accordingly. You also are also affected by your environment; the glare from the sun makes it harder to see clearly, which affects you like it would in real life. The audio is also great, the engine sounds and gear shifts are as realistic as ever.

Like most racing games, you can buy new cars, upgrade them, tune them and customize your paint job. Even though the number of racetracks have also been reduced, you still get o race on some of the world’s most famous racetracks like the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Le Mans Circuit, and the Silverstone Racing Circuit.

Forza Motorsport 5 also has a multi player mode where you get to test your skills against other drivers; it uses the new Smart Match matchmaking to make sure you race people with skills similar to yours.

Forza Motorsport 5 is a very addictive and entertaining game, I would recommend people to try, even the people that aren’t into cars will find it hard to put down.
